 Tarkosunaryo earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), and Accountant program from the Indonesian State College of Accountancy (Sekolah Tinggi Akuntansi Negara/STAN). 

Tarkosunaryo earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), and Accountant program from the IndoTarkosunaryo serves as Chairman of the Indonesian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (Institut Akuntan Publik Indonesia/IAPI), for two periods of 2013-2017 and 2017-2021, chairman of the ethics committee of IAPI for period of 2019-2021, and Deputy Chairman of the Public Accountant Professional Committee, an independent body that was formed by the Finance Minister of the Republic of Indonesia to carry out an advisory function for the supervision of public accountants and appeals for sanctions from the Minister of Finance, for the period of 2019-2022.nesian State College of Accountancy (Sekolah Tinggi Akuntansi Negara/STAN) 

Prior to his current position as a partner in KAP Razikun Tarkosunaryo, he started his career as an auditor at the Finance and Development Supervisory Agency (Badan Pengawas Keuangan dan Pembangunan/BPKP) for eight years and then joined several Accounting Firms in Jakarta where he handled a wide range of services in auditing, accounting, and consulting services since 2003. 

With his expertise, Tarkosunaryo is also known as a lecturer at STAN, Vocational Education Program Universitas Indonesia, guest lecturer at UGM, and some other universities, and actively involves in the implementation of accounting standards in Indonesia.
